    Anique Hamelink is a lecturer in Ancient History and Archaeology, specializing in the Roman period. She is an expert in the themes of identity, funerary culture, monumentality, imperialism, social history, public history, gender history, clothing culture, and textile archaeology. She regularly delivers public lectures both in the Netherlands and abroad, is interviewed as an expert for documentaries and exhibitions, and collaborates intensively with museums, artists, and Living History associations. She is a board member of the Living History association Legio II Augusta and chair of the civilian working group.

    In 2026, she curated the exhibition "Kapsalon RMO" at the National Museum of Antiquities
