Dr. Kay Boers is a lecturer in Ancient History at the University of Amsterdam. His research focuses on the history and archaeology of Late Antiquity, with a specific interest in the reception of classical literature, language, and culture in the Post-Roman World, particularly in Visigothic Iberia, Early Islam, and Byzantium. His current research (Cultures of Reuse in Late Antiquity and Connecting Constantinople: Empire, Objects and Inter-Civic Relationality) focuses on the erasure and reuse of architecture, material culture and text in the Late Roman World.
