Interdisciplinary conference on temporal rhythms and rituals in the ancient world

Programme

This conference investigates how people in the ancient world structured and perceived time through the regular repetition of certain acts, such as religious ceremonies, economic activities, political acts or even practices as mundane as eating.

The conference is organized by CHRONOS, an interdisciplinary network funded by the DFG connecting 15 researchers studying time in the ancient world (3000 BC – AD 600):
